It is with great sadness and even greater love that I announce the passing of my good boy…my best dog friend…my “little bear”, Cooper.
Cooper fought his battle with cancer long and hard and was a trooper the whole way.
He was the reason I stopped being afraid of pit bulls and why others stopped being afraid as well. He cured my friend, Irene, of her fear of dogs, and now she has two of her own
I was so happy I got to bring him to the Kootenays, where, for five years, got to actually BE a dog. It was also where he met HIS best friend, Eric. He would literally hyperventilate as we drove up to his house
He loved chewing balls (not fetching them lol), ripping apart stuffies, car rides, walks and hikes, sniffing up and down the aisles of the pet store, digging holes and ditches, his grandpa, his dog treats, and, of course, his momma
He slept on my bed and loved naps on dad’s couch.
I was the dog mom who kissed him and told him I loved him every day at least 10 times a day and especially before I left the house.
He was such a good boy
I saved him but he saved me more.
I will love him for the rest of my life
